Car Repair Shops Busy Due to Snowstorm
EUGENE, Ore. — There's no business like snow business. One local car repair specialist says his shop will be busy well into the new year.
Ron Doerr at M&G Collision says they had 35 customers with damaged vehicles come into their shop in the first three days of the snowstorm. Most had damage to their suspension from hitting curbs or landing in ditches. He says if you did the same and don't think you suffered damage, then reconsider.
"People have had impact to their suspension or hit a curb. They should definitely get into their alignment shop and get that looked at because they might not see anything right away, but they might get some abnormal tire wear over a year's time, and it might be a little bit difficult to open a claim later," Doerr said.
Doerr says cars wrecked during the last week should keep them busy through January and maybe into February.
